I would not recommend this caregiver based on our experience. She interviewed with us, accepted the position, and confirmed her start date. However, less than three hours before her first scheduled shift, she sent a text stating she could not come due to an alleged family emergency. I responded with concern and understanding, asking if everything was okay, but she read the message and never replied. When I followed up to confirm whether she would be available for the next scheduled shift, she again did not respond. If she had simply changed her mind about the position, a brief message communicating that would have been completely acceptable. Instead, the lack of communication and follow-through demonstrated a disregard for professionalism and left our family without care at the last minute. Reliability and communication are essential in childcare, especially for families with special needs, and unfortunately this experience did not meet those expectations. I do not recommend this sitter - avoid and go with someone that is reliable.
