About Christine

I'm a 48-year-old mom of grown children with experience caring for infants through school age, including running a home daycare. My approach is calm, consistent and attentive, while keeping childcare fun, engaging and sometimes silly. I use predictable routines, firm boundaries (including the word no), encouragement and confidence-building. I believe in treating children with kindness and respect without being permissive. I prefer hands-on activities, reading, music, movement and learning, with limited screen time for education, entertainment or rewards. I encourage and have had success with earlier potty training rather than waiting until later, and support elimination communication alongside baby sign language. I connect and communicate well with both children and adults with ADHD and Level 1 ASD; I am not currently offering specialized childcare for children with higher support needs.
