About Kiersten

Hi, I'm Kiersten! I'm 26, I live in Rockford and have worked professionally in childcare for about 5 years now. I'm currently a nanny for a 3yr old and a special needs 1 yr old with high support needs. I have 2 years of experience in a licensed daycare in Walker. This included a year as a lead preschool teacher, receiving my CDA as well as being a team lead and helping our teachers find new and creative ways to be a leader to young ones. Being a teacher is my passion and I hope to soon start part time classes on the path to becoming an ECSE teacher! I also worked as a paraprofessional in Caledonia Schools in an ASD classroom, furthering with my passion for children with special needs. Before finding my calling in childcare, I also worked some time as a licensed EMT and a CNA so I am very comfortable with any and all medical needs! I have 3 cats, so I am very pet friendly and love to spend time outdoors and enjoying our incredible KDL libraries and all they have to offer!
