Hi! I'm a young, energetic Grandma with a lifetime of experience caring for children of all ages. I've raised two wonderful daughters, ran a full-time daycare from my home, led Girl Scout troops, volunteered in classrooms, and started babysitting at just 12 years old. With my daughters and grandson now living in Texas, I cherish every chance I get to nurture and care for little ones when I can't be with them. I have experience supporting families visiting town for vacations or conferences and am available for fill-in, short-term, or last-minute babysitting needs. I'm especially great for moms who need a break to run errands or enjoy a few hours to themselves. Daytime availability is preferred, but I'm happy to help out on occasional evenings too! I understand that choosing the right child care is one of the most important-and sometimes most challenging-decisions a parent can make. We hired Christy to care for our 3 children while on vacation in San Diego, with a focus on providing care for our 11 week old son. Not only did she exceed our expectations of caring for our infant, but she was so engaged and helpful with our older two girls (ages 8 and 5) as well. She brought games and small gifts, and even brought a blanket she made for our baby. In addition to caring for the kids, she helped organize and tidy which made packing easier. She went from babysitter to “Grammy Christy” in just a few days and feels like family. We will definitely be calling her when we come back!
