Christine was my mom’ s caretaker through the last five years of her life with Early Onset Alzheimer’s. Christine was dependable, compassionate, and patient with my mom throughout her progression. Through each chapter and development, she adjusted the activities and level of care needed for my mom. In the beginning, their days were busy with outings, crafts, puzzles, walks and lunches. They shared so many laughs, and Christine enabled my mom make daily decisions. In more recent years, she took on more of a formal caretaker role, helping her shower, eat, and go to the bathroom. She never gave up on us or my mom throughout the years. She also helped care for our two dogs that my mom loves dearly.
