About Christina

I'm a caregiver specializing in Alzheimer's care for the last 12 years and parting my current position after 9 years. Daily duties involve hygiene assist, safety supervision, housekeeping, meal and meds preparation, monitoring glucose levels for diabetes, and activities ranging from simple games to special outings where clients can continue to socialize and maintain fitness by walking. I have recently re-certified in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/ AED at the Red Cross and have previously taken two CE courses under the Alzheimer's Dementia Connection of Havasu that specialized in hygiene and coping with challenging behaviors. I believe the most important aspect to my job as a caregiver is complete focus on the individual's needs; not simply as a patient but as a person. It is just as crucial to nurture a person's emotional well being as well as physical. Patience, kindness, and the tending to a person's need to be needed are essential for quality of life.
