About Christina

My name is Christina. I always knew that my calling was to become a teacher. However, after graduating as the valedictorian of my high school and summa cum laude in college, I decided to go to law school, graduated, and passed the bar exam 25 years ago. Despite my legal education, I knew that I still wanted to become a teacher, so I taught at the high school level and was an adjunct college teacher before raising my family. I then homeschooled my son from pre-K through 8th grade and loved every minute of it. He recently went off to college, so I decided to return to teaching and am currently a substitute teacher (elementary and middle school). I also chose to be a tutor because my goal is to inspire a joy in the process of learning . As BF said, "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." As an extrovert with an outgoing and friendly personality, I do my best to engage students and aspire to have them be active participants in their learning.
