I have cared for children of various ages since I was in junior high. I have done live in care for a 6-month-old and 4-year-old. I have experience as a children's staff at a church. I have had various volunteer experiences with children. I have experience with people with disabilities. More recently, I have professional experience with children with autism. My experience working with children with autism has challenged me to be creative in finding ways to engage and connect with children. Christina volunteered for a children's ministry for many years. She was incredibly reliable and filled in as needed- she was a backbone to our ministry! I observed Christina with all age groups- babies, toddlers, preschool, grade school and also children with special needs. She did well in all settings. I was most impressed with her love for the babies- it takes a special person to really and truly love children that are not your own, and she has it! She would walk in with a smile ready to roll on the floor, read stories over and over, and cuddle until her arms hurt. I would hire Christina to watch my boys in a second!
