I have always loved working with children! When I was a teen, I was a nanny and worked at a summer camp. After graduation I joined the Army and served as a medic and other positions, while also getting my bachelors degrees in child psychology and women's studies. After I retired from the Army, of course I sought out a job working with children again! I became a preschool teacher during the school year and an art teacher at a camp In the summer. Covid unfortunately closed my school. I then became a nanny/ teacher to 3 children. I love learning, teaching, crafting and hiking! I love being outside! Any chance I can get to change an indoor activity to an outdoor one, I am always going to! I am CPR certified as well as fire safety certified. I have my current FBI background check as well as child abuse clearances current.

Christina has been with our family since Sept of 2021. At that time, my younger one was just a few months old, and my older one was 5. She primarily cares for the baby throughout the day and does drop-offs, pick-ups, after-school stuff, and holidays with my older one. She is absolutely amazing! She is kind, generous, and, at heart, a true teacher! She loves creating wonderful learning experiences- taking the kids to museums, farms, aquariums, pet stores, and other outdoor activities. For my younger one, she designed a classroom, and they do "organized" classes and have detailed lesson plans. For my older one, she helps with homework and violin lessons and is very encouraging. Over the summers, she does more whole-day experiences and activities for both of them. She also takes the time to be silly with them and indulges them in a way that makes them feel very "special"! She encourages their expression and imagination at every opportunity she gets. Christina is truly amazing, and we are fortunate to have her working with our family and kids!!
