I have done volunteer work at Rata High School (Fresno, CA) a 7-12 grade Special Education Center. I worked alongside teachers and students teaching, mentoring and being a friend. Teaching ranged from reading, toileting, recess, shapes, math, behavioral control. I worked a semester at Fresno City College with the Disabled Students Program as teachers aid in a math class. I graded papers and helped tutor the students. I've also worked as a C. N. A with 2 1/2 years of experience in a health care facility and a year as a in-home caregiver. I've dealt with a ride range of students, patients and clients, all with different cognitive awareness, mental and physical disabilities. I've worked with G-Tubes, cath, colostomy bags, depends.
