Hi everyone! I'm a full-time elementary school teacher looking for summer babysitting and nannying opportunities starting the week of June 22nd through late July/early August. I'm a NJ-certified Elementary Education teacher (K-6) and CPR/AED/BLS certified, with 13+ years of experience working with children. I also spent over 8 years as a lifeguard and swim instructor. I have excellent references, my own transportation, and am based in Mendham. I'm hoping to stay local but am happy to travel within about 30 minutes (Morristown, Summit, Chatham, Madison, and surrounding areas). I'm open to a variety of opportunities, including part-time nannying, consistent summer babysitting, date nights, weekend babysitting, and tutoring during both the summer and school year. Chrissy has cared for my special needs daughter. Chrissy has an amazing ability to connect with children. She has a fun and childlike approach that allows her to bring childcare to the next level. She engages on a level that meets your child wherever they’re at. She’s not really one for sitting there with screens on…she’s much more about collaborative play and connecting with kiddos in an authentic and curious way about shared interests and activities. She’s also sensitive and compassionate which lends to her ability to provide amazing care. Her smile is contagious and she is the perfect balance of a sitter who is fun loving, but who is also intelligent and easy for children to authentically respect. She also has great common sense and thinks on her feet. Would reco her anyday even for children that typically present with challenging behavior profiles.
