About Christen

I am a proud mother of five and grandmother of two, and family has always been one of the most important parts of my life. Being a mom and grandmother has taught me patience, compassion, responsibility, and the importance of being someone children can depend on. I earned my degree in Elementary Education because I have always enjoyed working with children and helping them learn, grow, and feel confident in themselves. I currently work as a substitute teacher, which gives me the opportunity to work with children of different ages, personalities, and learning needs. I am also a foster parent, a role that is very meaningful to me. I believe every child deserves to feel safe, supported, encouraged, and cared for. Whether I am at home, in the classroom, or helping another family, caring for children has been a major part of who I am and what I enjoy doing.
