About Christa

I'm a retired certified teacher with nearly 20 years of experience working with children and teens, including 17 years in the classroom. I offer tutoring support in math, science, ESOL, reading, writing, study skills, homework help, and school organization. My approach is patient, encouraging, and supportive. I understand that every student learns differently, so I take time to meet each child where they are, explain concepts clearly, and help them build confidence step by step. I especially enjoy helping students strengthen reading and writing skills, understand challenging assignments, prepare for schoolwork, and feel less overwhelmed. I create a calm, positive learning space where students feel comfortable asking questions, making progress, and believing in their own abilities.
