My name is Christa. I spent the last 20 years primarily in a caregiver role. I had my daughter on my own and pretty much raised her on my own. She's 20 yo now. I also taught a classroom of about 20 kids for about 9 years at my church. It was unpaid. For the first 1. 5 years I was a special needs teacher. Then I was with first graders and gained experience with adhd add etc I really enjoyed being with children. Then for about 15 years I was my mom's caregiver until she passed away a few years ago. She had dementia. I took care of her at the final stage of her life at my home through hospice. I had a great nurse that trained me for the job.
