My experience and drive with caring for the special needs population derived from my close relationship to my best friends' brother. Helping him with daily activities and more importantly building a friendship drove me to work in this field and start my career at Maryhaven Center of Hope. I worked at Maryhaven for several years, where I was promoted to Assistant manager. I have advanced my work as a Direct Support Professional, currently at FREE. I hold advanced certifications in several health and wellness skills such as; CPR, SCIP, AMAP, OSHA, bloodborne pathogens, etc. I not only have the experience of handling the day to day, as well as medical, aspects of this work; I am passionate and driven for disability advocacy.
