While obviously I have taught students in a classroom setting I have loved the last few years being able to tutor youth at the boys home I have worked at after school. I also tutored a high school girl my first year out of college for several months after she fell behind due to an injury which had caused her to struggle to retain information. Thankfully through our sessions she was able to catch up with what she had missed as well as improve her retention rate and return to previous academic levels prior to the injury. Working one on one with individuals is why I left the classroom for the boys home, but teaching is something I will always love and tutoring is my very happy medium.
