I have four years of experience working with those who have special needs, and it has a very special place in my heart. In high school, I spent time volunteering with the special needs department, as well as helping with special Olympics that was held locally in my hometown. I recently helped care for a family who had two children who had autism, and whose youngest child was blind. I understand the need to be patient, understanding, and easy going. Those with special needs are courageous, strong and have a wonderful light with them, so I always have considered it to be a pleasure to work with and care for them.
