My name is Nena I love caregiving, I've been doing it for over 10 years. Parkinson's, dementia, Lewy body, I've helped families with all. I do light housework, meal prep, along with transportation. I love sitting and talking with my patients, Reminiscing about when they were in their prime as they tell me. Telling me about their past, childhood and days when their kids were young. I love seeing that spark in their eye come back! I'm CPR certified also. I am no stranger to wound care, oral care like teeth brushing, medications and pets too!! I also sit overnight, 3rd shift, help them get up and get to the bathroom, tuck them back in and just be there for them. I absolutely love some Frank Sinatra, music in general! Nena is terrific. She made a huge difference during my 94-year-old mother's at-home and in-patient hospice. I hired Nena to do general and light medical care-taking during daytime hours so I could continue to work from my mother's home. Nena was a great companion for my mom. She took care of meals, toileting, helped with outings and did some light housekeeping. She supported mom at in-patient rehab during my respite week. Nena is very personable and is great with pets. My mom's cat really misses her. My mom was very feisty and aggressively independent, and Nena did a great job being patient while setting boundaries to eventually win her over. Nena is both reliable and flexible. She communicated well about schedules, changes needed on either side, and about what was going on with my mom when something seemed off. Nena stayed with us to the very last day, which made a huge difference to my stress level about our need for her to stay and her need to stay employed.
