Experience: 10 yrs
In the past 12 years, I have been a nanny, a teacher for ages 8 weeks-10 years in a daycare setting, and taught special education at an elementary level. I'm hands-on, and I love to do fun activities with the kids. In addition to supervising the kids, I'm also willing to prepare food, clean, run errands, and transport the kids to/from appointments or activities.
It is my absolute pleasure to recommend Cheyenne, who cared for our daughter from the time she was 7 months old for a period of seven months while I worked from home. During that time, she became an incredibly important part of our family’s daily life, and we feel so grateful for the care, love, and reliability she provided. From the very beginning, Cheyenne impressed us with her punctuality and professionalism—she was always on time, dependable, and someone I could trust without hesitation. Having that peace of mind while working from home made all the difference. Beyond reliability, she brought such warmth and energy to every day, creating a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment for our daughter. She was active and took our daughter on regular walks, and spent lots of time outside playing in the backyard and with the water table. One of the things that sets Cheyenne apart is her background and training in child development. With her degree and experience, she brought a depth of knowledge that truly enhanced our daughter’s growth. She was intentional about supporting early milestones, particularly around language and communication. She encouraged speech through songs, stories, and conversation, and we noticed such a wonderful improvement in our daughter’s ability to express herself during her time with Cheyenne. She also guided play in ways that supported problem-solving, motor skills, and curiosity, always balancing fun with purposeful learning. Cheyenne handled meals, naps, and routines seamlessly, encouraging independence while ensuring our daughter’s needs were always met. Just as importantly, she was always open to feedback and collaborated beautifully with us as parents. She took suggestions graciously, adapted easily, and showed that she truly valued working as a team to provide the best care possible. In every way, Cheyenne exceeded our expectations as a caregiver. She is reliable, thoughtful, patient, and deeply knowledgeable about child development. Any family would be incredibly fortunate to have her, and we recommend her wholeheartedly and without reservation.
