Hi everyone! My name is Chessa and I am delighted to get to know you! After graduating high school and taking and traveling for a year, I started working at an elementary school as a paraeducator. In this job position, I worked 1:1 to 1:4 with elementary aged children. I worked with them during their speech, occupational and physical therapy sessions. Assisted them as needed during their blended general education class time, worked with them though their Functional Academics and supported them throughout the day. I fell in love with this setting and I felt that I needed to do this full time. I decided to continue my education at GCU and majoring in Elementary and Special Education. Besides being a paraeducator, I have been babysitting and nannying kids aged 4months to 12 years of age since I was 13 years old.
