I am a retired Speech Therapist who has relocated to Texas to be with my daughters and grandchildren. I am a Christian and I'm looking for 20- 30 hours of work. I am flexible and can work with you on a schedule. 

I love children and have lots of personal and professional experience working with all ages. I had four children of my own, including twins. I also did Foster care for 8 years, mostly caring for drug affected newborns, but also for some older toddlers and children. I have had years of CPR training and am current on my certification. I am energetic (I play Pickleball regularly) and fun and find children delightful and full of surprises.

We are beyond blessed to have Sherri in our lives who has been taken care of our first boy since he was born. With her nurturing spirit & endless patience, she’s help provide excellent care for our 2 y/o while I work and also now cares for our 6mo. Her years of experience as a speech pathologist, foster parent, and mother a four have made her an invaluable resource and teacher to us as young parents. Sherri has been an amazing nanny for out daughter. She's great with kids, and it shows. Our daughter has learned so much
from Sherri, as she taught her a bit of sign languange. She's also amazing at keeping our daughter entertained. Sherri is
very loving and entertaining, we are really impressed on how good she has looked after our kid. I strongly recommend her,
as we are keeping in touch with her for whenever we need date nights. 

Sherri was a wonderful addition to our household. She clearly loved our daughter and put her first. She was able to help us work through an intense case of diaper rash and was always very good at getting our 3 month old to sleep. When she watched her, she was always present and engaging with our daughter and encouraged age appropriate activities; my favorite was that she would sing and motor her around, never a dull moment!

Sherri is the most amazing nanny. She loved my son and put his best interests before anything. He loves her too and we still see each other. She is kind and reliable. I couldn't imagine someone better with my son!

Our 2yo loved Cheryl the moment he met her. She came over to meet us and our son, and we hit it off instantly. 

She takes great care of him, tending to needs. She plays intentionally and plans to play by bringing items with her. 

Our son was always excited to see her, and that made it easy to leave for work knowing he was in good hands! 

Although our long term need is gone, we still plan to seek her out for a date night here and there. 

Highly recommend without reservation. Childcare was difficult for us to find in August, and we are so thankful that Cheryl was placed in our path during this season!!

Cheryl (known as Mrs. Sherri to our family) has provided exceptional care for our daughter since she was 17 months old. Our daughter is now 5 and going into kindergarten, so sadly, we will not see Sherri as often. Sherri has become like family to us, and I honestly don't know what we would have done without her. Prior to finding her, my husband and I had 3 different nannies, with each one not working out for various reasons. I knew Sherri was the right fit within the first several minutes of her interview. She provides developmentally appropriate care and has kept our daughter safe and happy for nearly 4 years. Our daughter always looks forward to the days when she is here, which gives us peace of mind! She is flexible and highly dependable. As a bonus, our daughter is 5 and reading at least at a 1st- 2nd grade level. I 100% believe that Mrs. Sherri is a huge part of our daughter's early reading success. She is fully engaged and loves teach. I would absolutely recommend her!

Is amazing and has become like a family member to us.  We highly recommend her to any family.  She is never late, the children love her, and she had been a big asset to our family.

Cheryl and I worked together for about 3 years in a rehabilitation setting.  Her ability to connect and support our clients was amazing.  She treated each client with respect and as a unique and special individual. Cheryl created different programs for each client that would meet their needs. Her gentleness and caring gave the clients a sense of peace and encouragement to keep working hard so that their goals would be met.  Cheryl is responsible and attentive and is able to anticipate potential problems, addressing them without hesitation. Cheryl and her husband Steve were my very BEST Foster Care Parents when I was the Director of Kids Ark Foster Care agency (2001-2004.  They were very committed to giving each child the professional, loving, care each one deserved and needed. Cheryl is especially gifted in caring for infants that have been exposed to drugs in utero. She not only cared for the children, but her love and concern reached out to the parents of each foster child with the goal of teaching them what children want and need from a parent.  She followed protocol very carefully. She worked diligently as an advocate for what was best for each child. When it came to working with a little older children, she was experienced because of the 4 beautiful children she and her husband had raised. I saw their children respect and honor their parents in an admirable manner through some difficult years as they were teenagers. I cannot say enough good about Cheryl except that she is EXCEPTIONAL in all the areas that I knew her. Because of this I can say with confidence, she will be a huge blessing to any child and she is wonderful to work with for the good of children in the foster care system.
