I'd describe my personality as encouraging and compassionate, with a lighthearted dose of wit. My hope is to be matched with seniors who'd like to build a trusting relationship with a reliable long-term caregiver. I've assisted with everything, from personal care to pet sitting, to lawn mowing. I began my caregiving journey by assisting my aunt with chores and driving her to medical appointments, which grew into 14 months providing daily personal care as she received treatments for myeloma. I also spent 2 years as a live-in care assistant for my older brother who suffered a traumatic brain injury. His care needs required cognitive exercises, patience, encouragement and structure. I also provided meal plans and prep, yard maintenance and driving to medical appointments. I'm looking to provide personal care and household support for someone who's currently able to communicate their needs and preferences, and who'd like to remain independent at home for as long as possible.
