About Cheryl

Making a positive impact on children's lives is my passion! As a retired teacher with 30 years of experience in both general and special education (grades K-8), I bring patience and a calm demeanor to every interaction. I also spent time working with preschoolers, focusing on social-emotional skills and literacy. I'm comfortable enforcing household rules and will always communicate with you using your preferred method, including written daily reports. I enjoy playing board games, educational games, and making up creative activities. I have a graduate degree, am a certified teacher, and have completed Early Child Development coursework. I am comfortable caring for up to two children, ages 4-5, and am happy to help with cooking, light housekeeping, and carpooling. I'm also certified in CPR and First Aid. I'm flexible and will try new approaches if something isn't working. I look forward to the opportunity to bring my experience and love of learning to your family.
