About Cheryl

I have been babysitting since I was a teenager and have always loved working with small children. I worked as a live-in nanny for a family in Katonah, NY for two years and a family in Westport, CT for a year. When I moved back to the Albany area to work toward my degree in education, I worked for a family in East Greenbush, who had a baby who was later diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. I worked for the family for five years, during which they had two more children. I am currently teaching middle school, but my love is working with young children. I also have a son who is 15 years old. I love working with small children. I enjoy the caregiving and nurturing aspects of the job. Singing, dancing, cooking, arts and crafts, reading, playing and teaching children about the natural world truly bring me joy. I am fun and loving, but also feel that teaching manners, responsibility and self-control are important to the well-being of the child.
