About Cherokee

Hi! I'm Cherokee, 28, and I have a genuine passion for working with children. I've spent the past 5 years caring for children from infants through pre-teens, providing full-day and after-school care, school pickups, date nights, and temporary care. I'm patient, reliable, and dedicated to creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment. I love connecting with each child and encouraging curiosity and exploration. While I'm comfortable with all ages, my greatest strength is working with children under 5. I love watching them discover the world and being part of that journey! My experience includes caring for a 10-month-old and his three older siblings for nearly 2 years, backup care for four boys under 5, and most recently working with two Bakersfield families. I'm familiar with and enjoy using the Montessori method. I have a Psychology degree from Cal Poly, CPR/First Aid and water safety certification, reliable transportation, and can use conversational Spanish.
