I have extensive experience, skill, & patience working with & teaching children on the Autistic spectrum -- both professionally, & with my own 3 boys who have varying degrees of Asperger's Syndrome & Pervasive Developmental Disorder (NOS) (they are now teenagers). Out of the thousands of typically developing children that I have taught over the past 16 years in the classroom, I have also worked with probably hundreds of children with special needs, and I am particularly skilled at reaching those with general developmental delays, learning disabilities, Autistic spectrum disorders, sensory integration disorders, & various behavior disorders. I use concrete, hands-on learning experiences through a multi-sensory, multi-disciplinary approach to teach even the simplest concepts. I love a challenge because I truly believe that ALL children can be reached.
