I started working as a teen in my mother's Assistant Living Facility she had in our home, and I loved it!! I learned firsthand that the most important part of taking care of the elderly is with love, respect & dignity. I have continued taking care of seniors through the years. As a retired senior myself , I would love to take some of the burden off you by helping you and your loved one with a caring, loving respectful attitude.. I have over 10 years of experience in Alzheimer & Dementia & Parkinson care. I assist with activities and encourage all to be social and active . I handle bathing, dressing, medication, house cleaning, appointments, shopping, meal prep and feeding and much more. I have many written References with contact information provided upon request. I'm available Monday through Friday.. Hours are Flexible, 25 -40 hrs or more a week. $20 regular hrs .$25 hr overnights. Hope to hear from you soon. We hired Cherie to provide in-home care for my 87-year-old mother, who has advanced dementia. She is warm, patient, and genuinely engaged, treating my mother with respect and kindness. What stands out most is how interactive Cherie is. She doesn’t simply perform tasks—she spends meaningful time with my mother, using a lot of verbal stimulation and positive conversation to keep her engaged. She talks with her about family memories, plays familiar songs, asks questions, and offers constant encouragement, reassurance, and praise. These interactions seem to brighten my mother’s mood and help reduce her confusion. It’s clear that Cherie understands dementia care and uses thoughtful communication as a key part of her approach. Cherie is also consistently punctual and reliable. She arrives on time, communicates clearly if anything changes. We feel very fortunate to have found Cherie and we would highly recommend her to anyone needing caring support for a loved one.
