About Chelsea

I am an energetic mom of 2 kids (13 and 8) looking to put my nursing skills to practical use. I worked as a registered nurse for 9 years, mainly intensive care, but then took a break to assist my husband in opening and running a distillery and raising our two children. I let my license lapse in 2020 but am currently working towards renewing my license through an RN refresher course. My specialty is in geriatrics, and I have extensive knowledge of medical issues affecting the elderly population. I enjoy assisting in activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and cooking, but am also knowledgeable with medication management, vital signs, wound care, catheter care, safe ambulating practices, IV care, gastric tubes, feeding tubes, dialysis fistulas/grafts, colostomy bags, and oxygen tanks, to name a few. I enjoy talking but am equally comfortable in silent moments and understand how to communicate with those affected by dementia or memory loss.
