About Chelsea

I began my career as a preschool teacher for 4 years, serving in lead roles across infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms. For the past 10 years, I have been a special education teacher in North Raleigh, where I hold a self-contained classroom for students in grades 3 through 5. I also hold a Master's degree in Elementary Education. I am CPR and First Aid certified for adults, children, and infants, and I bring a deep understanding of child development, differentiated learning, and developmentally appropriate practice to everything I do. I have experience incorporating Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches, and I love planning themed activities, crafts, projects, and learning experiences tailored to each child's interests. I believe that kind of intentional, joyful engagement builds a lifetime love of learning! I am reliable, patient, calm under pressure, and a strong communicator. I also love animals and am comfortable in homes with pets.
