About Chelsea

I am an EMT currently looking to take a break from my demanding work life and go back to caregiving to allow more flexibility in my days as a mom of young children. While I love what I do, maximizing my time with my kids is the most important thing to me. I'd describe my personality as nurturing & fun. I like caring for seniors because I love helping people of all ages. I started caring for seniors when I became an EMT & had many calls out of senior facilities. I got to know many residents & loved chatting with them & hearing their stories. My skills include medical training, personal ability, & nurturing character. One thing they teach you when caring for seniors is to treat them & talk to them like adults. There is a misconstrued stigma where caregivers can treat & talk to seniors like children, which can be frustrating & demeaning for them. I fully understand that a senior is an adult that just requires a little bit of help, & love to treat them as a friend and not a "client."
