I have always enjoyed caring for kids, because it gave me a chance to care for them as if they were my own siblings (I grew up as an only child). Throughout high school, I volunteered as a camp counselor for 2nd, 5th, and 6th grade students during their day or week long camps. I also volunteered as an after-school care assistant at an elementary school for special needs children. I spent the last two-three years nannying for a wonderful family, but had to stop because I moved. I always strive to make each child feel seen, heard, and important. My goal is to be someone they can trust and confide in without fear of being judged.
