About Charly

Hi I'm Charly! I hold a graduate degree in CMHC and graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in composition and writing. This experience allows me to teach writing not only as a school subject, but as a structured skill that applies to real-world communication. I worked for two years in Pre-K Special Education, where I developed individualized lesson plans, implemented literacy-based activities, and conducted consistent progress monitoring. I understand how to scaffold instruction so that students build true mastery rather than surface-level understanding. Currently, as a mental health counselor, I work daily with emotional regulation, executive functioning, and confidence building. My approach to tutoring is calm, patient, and highly individualized. I create a structured one-on-one environment where students feel safe to make mistakes, ask questions, and grow.
