I have extensive personal experience caring for children with autism, as my younger brother is nonverbal and on the autism spectrum. Growing up, both of my parents worked full-time, so I often served as his primary caregiver. After school, I would take the bus home, pick him up from school, supervise him, help meet his daily needs, and ensure he was safe and comfortable until my parents returned home. This experience taught me patience, adaptability, strong communication skills, and how to provide care tailored to a child's unique needs. In addition to caring for my brother, I have several years of experience working with children as a Head Counselor in after-school and summer programs, as well as through babysitting. I am committed to creating a safe, supportive, and positive environment where every child feels understood, respected, and cared for.
