Hi there, I currently work as a medical scribe in pediatrics and internal medicine, previously worked as a clinic assistant in hematology/onclology, and after taking sciences for the past year, am looking to gain caregiving experience to help me decide if occupational therapy is a career path I'm interested in. My work with kids includes teaching ESL to pre-K and middle school students, working with ages 7 months - 4 years as a daycare teacher, and coaching trail biking and after school programs for kids through parks and rec. I have a BA degree from Sarah Lawrence College in NY, including 12 early childhood credits, and am BLS certified. I especially enjoy working with shy and sensory sensitive children, and I enjoy helping people find a sense of calm, as well as a sense of dignity and self-confidence in being able to better care for themselves or complete daily activities.
