My experience with special-needs came while I was working for many different families of all abilities children. I don't actually treat them any different than the other children I care for, I treat them as individuals with individual needs, just like other children. I have cared for multiple children on the spectrum, one of whom I was a primary caregiver from the time he was four till the time he was 10. His condition is Asperger's.
