I have found that nothing compares to the fulfilment and satisfaction of being able to help someone remain in their home and retain their independence for as long as possible. I have spent the last six years as primary caretaker of a sweet and spirited woman suffering from dementia. Sadly, she recently passed, and I am now hoping to find someone else who needs me. I have experience assisting in all manners of daily living, including but not limited to dressing, bathing, incontinence, Ostomy and catheter care, meal planning and preparation, pill schedules, breathing treatment assistance, oxygen usage (portable and home concentrator). I am CPR certified and completed the gerontology certification program at COC. I can schedule and accompany seniors to doctors appointments, run errands or plan outings (sometimes you just need to get out and about). Ideally, I would like to have a few clients that I could work with on a regular basis.

Charlene is very helpful in that she sees what needs to be done and simply handles it. She does light cooking/cleaning and general chores. She will make errand/grocery runs. She takes my husband to his Dr visits, and helps with his wound care and physical therapy. She will even walk the dog, who is now hopelessly in love with her. She is extremely good spirited and friendly, but is all business when it comes to patient care, never missing the mark. And while she is very trustworthy to take care of it all when I am out of town, I frankly miss her company and look forward to her visits myself.
