Experience: 6 yrs
Christian, Veteran, Single Mother and Cancer Survivor. Served 20+ years in USAF and healthcare field. Helped care for my grandmother for many years; passed in 2019 at 104 yo. Joined caregiver workforce as a way to continue serving in my community. I have great compassion for the elderly. I believe they should be treated w/ respect and dignity regardless of their age and/or disability. Rest assured, if given the opportunity to care for your loved one, they would be treated w/ compassionate care as I would my own. My goal is their safety and assisting them w/ daily life activities so they can continue to thrive comfortably and independently as possible. My current schedule allows me flexibility to work directly w/ clients in the comfort of their own home. Non-smoker. References available upon request. Clients I have worked with: Dementia/Alzheimer's clients, paraplegics, autistic young and older adults, and aging seniors. CPR(Adult/Child/Infant)+AED+First Aid Expires: 4/24/2026
There are not enough words to express how grateful our family is for the care Charina provided to my terminally ill mother. From day one, she treated my mom with incredible dignity, compassion, and love. She never called out, was always early, and was someone we could completely depend on during the most difficult time of our lives. She did so much more than provide care. She prepared meals, managed my mom's medications, helped her get dressed for bed, assisted her to the bathroom, changed diapers with kindness and respect, took her on walks, and spent time simply talking with her and keeping her company. She truly became a trusted companion and made my mom's days brighter. She also kept meticulous records of medications, vital signs, bowel movements, and daily changes, and she communicated with me throughout every shift with thoughtful, detailed updates. Knowing exactly how my mom was doing gave our family tremendous peace of mind. What speaks most to Charina's character is what happened at the end. She stayed with me at my mother's bedside when my mother passed away, offering comfort and support during one of the hardest moments of my life. Even after my mom's passing, she has continued to check on me and my family. That level of kindness cannot be taught—it comes from the heart. She is one of the most honest, dependable, compassionate, and genuinely caring people I have ever met. She cared for my mother as if she were her own family. If you have the opportunity to hire Charina, know that your loved one will be in the very best hands. I recommend her without hesitation and would trust her again in a heartbeat to care for another family member.
