I have hands-on experience providing compassionate, patient-centered care for individuals with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. My responsibilities have included assisting with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, while offering emotional support and companionship in a respectful and dignified manner. I am trained and experienced in using assistive devices, including the Hoyer lift, to safely transfer patients with limited mobility. I prioritize safety, infection control, and maintaining a calm, structured environment to help minimize confusion and anxiety for clients with cognitive impairments. Additionally, I have supported medication reminders, followed personalized care plans, monitored behavioral and physical changes, and maintained detailed communication with families and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
