About Chanel

Hello! My name is Chanel I have been teaching high school English in the Bay Area for the past six years. My wife and I moved to Portland recently, however, so I am not currently teaching. I am hoping to use this time to still work with kiddos, just in a different capacity. I have experience working full-time for a family with infant/toddler twins as well as a family of three school-aged children. I graduated from Stanford with a Master's Degree in Education in 2017. Before Stanford, I worked at both an elementary school as a literacy tutor and at a college readiness non-profit for low-income students as a SAT/ACT coach. I also have experience working at a daycare, summer camp, and tutoring program. In my free time, I enjoy reading while curled up with my cat, Hazel; going to the coast and exploring tide pools; and hiking with my wife and our pup, Hermione.
