Chalan is a nothing short of a godsend! When I was getting ready to deploy, she was willing to accommodate my demanding schedule as an active duty soldier when there was no one available to watch my god daughter. As you all know, sometimes for the sake of the mission we sacrifice a lot in order to sustain the balance of a home and work life and she completely understood that. Not only did she make up a fun game to ease her fear of the dark, but she also came up with other things to simplify moments in her routine where there was unease before. She doesn’t usually do well with strangers, but she took to her quickly. By the time I walked in, she was fast asleep with a full meal on her stomach. I can’t thank her enough. She’s terrific 🥹
