Hi, I'm César! I'm a reliable and patient child-caregiver. Most recently, I worked as a library paraprofessional at U-46, teaching love for reading and literacy to children ages 3-12. I also worked as a lead counselor for summer camps and after-school care through the Elgin Parks and Rec Dept. My sitting style is gentle but firm. I work with parents to set clear boundaries and expectations for behaviors, and I use fair and consistent consequences when needed. At the same time, I blend sitting and education, taking a blended constructive approach to learning that fosters curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning through everyday tasks. By introducing and building on developmentally appropriate educational concepts in math, science, social sciences, and literacy through everyday experiences. Yes, even through chores. I also offer formal tutoring services and meal prep/cooking services during regular scheduled sitting hours for an extra fee (not available with children under 5)
