About Celia

Hello! I am a dedicated special education teacher with over four years of experience supporting children with diverse needs, including those who are nonverbal, autistic, and/or have developmental and physical disabilities. I am passionate about creating a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment where every child feels valued and understood. I take a calm, compassionate approach and prioritize building trust through consistency, structure, and meaningful connection. I have extensive experience using visual supports, structured routines, sensory strategies, and positive reinforcement to promote communication, emotional regulation, and independence in daily activities. In addition, I am experienced in supporting children with mobility needs, including wheelchair assistance, safe positioning, and transfers. I am comfortable assisting with toileting and hygiene routines and administering medications as directed by families. I am CPR certified and have reliable transportation.
