About Cecelia

I have a lot of experience working with special needs students and I understand that every child learns differently. I'm very patient and flexible, and I adjust my approach based on what each student needs in the moment. I like to make learning engaging by using sensory tools when needed and setting up simple reward systems with a shared goal or prize to help keep motivation up and learning positive. Growing up as the oldest of six siblings in a family that has fostered for 8 years and adopted through foster care, I've been around kids of all ages my whole life and have a lot of hands-on babysitting experience. That's taught me how to stay calm, patient, and creative in different situations. I understand that some students need breaks, movement, or a different way of learning, and I'm very comfortable adjusting so they can feel successful and supported.
