After retiring from the dental profession, I joined care. com because I wanted to help families with their loved ones. I have extensive experience with dementia concerns. My last family needed dementia help for both parents. I spent over 3 years helping this family. Prior to that, I helped a gentleman with dementia for over 3 years. I will be loyal to your family member. I am available for companion care, medicine administration, meal preparation, light housekeeping and running errands. Cathy worked for our family taking care of my parents for 3 to 4 years. She started out helping them with medicine in the evenings. She didn’t just give them medicine. She got to know them and talked with them. They were living in an independent living situation, but needed more help so I hired her as our Caregiver. She became part of the Family. I have never met somebody so caring and trusting .We all fell in love with her. One of the biggest things in a Caregiver that we are always looking for is trust. With Cathy that is guaranteed. What is also was guaranteed is a loving and caring caregiver. We had had other caregivers before Cathy, but she was by far the best Caregiver my parents had. My parents just adored her. My mom had dementia and my dad had Alzheimer’s. Things could get pretty rough, however Cathy stayed with us until my parents passed away. She was our angel!
