About Cathy

Empowering students to reach their full potential is the cornerstone of my 25 year career. I hold a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and have served as a classroom teacher, virtual instructor, and elementary school principal. I specialize in reading intervention, elementary math, homework support, study skills, and helping struggling learners succeed. I am Orton-Gillingham trained and have extensive experience supporting students with dyslexia, IEPS, 504 Plans, and diverse learning needs. My approach centers on creating a patient, engaging environment. When concepts become challenging, I break problems into manageable steps and connect lessons to student's personal interests to build momentum. I believe open communication is essential to foster trust and track progress. I find the greatest reward in witnessing a child's"aha!" moments and watching confidence grow as new skills are mastered. I am genuinely excited to partner with you on your journey toward academic success.
