I have been a caregiver for 20 years. I am a certified nursing assistant and certified home health aid with extensive experience in hospice care doing several 24hr shifts in a row and I have my CPR certificate. I'm very experienced in medical transportation and post surgical recovery assistance. I love assisting clients with the activities of daily living - walking, grooming, bathing, transfers, medication management and I love managing their house when necessary to make them proud. We interviewed Cathy and had her work a short four hour shift to give her a test run. In the end we opted to not hire Cathy, solely based on a difference in personality. We didn't feel she would be a good fit. I let Cathy know of our decision and told her we were very sorry it didn't work out. Then I started getting text messages from her, complaining about the pay we were offering and how we needed to pay more. She also messaged one of the other caregivers, stating that I was overworked and high strung. I ended up blocking her on my phone, I felt that we didn't need a negative response, simply because we chose not to hire her. She then tried messaging me on this website, so I blocked her there. She was asked to stop messaging the other caregiver, but continued to do so, ultimately the other caregiver blocked her to stop her from further communication. No one likes to not get the job, but Cathy should have accepted our decision with grace, instead of saying negative things about my sister. I would be very careful about hiring Cathy as she basically lashed out at us, for not hiring her. 

Cathy stepped in on very short notice to take care of my mother-in-law who needed 24 hour care for a week after a surgery. She was absolutely fantastic and my mother-in-law loved her!  She even helped us to get coverage from other caregivers when she was not available!

Cathy cared for our 94 year old father at the end of his life. We cannot thank her enough or recommend her more highly to others. 
His health declined very rapidly and although we were able to be with him we were very overwhelmed with providing proper 24 hour care to him ourselves. Cathy responded quickly to our posting and offered to arrive the next morning and stay in his home 24/7 for 3-4 days. When she arrived we soon knew he was in good hands and he was. Thank you Cathy!

Cathy came to the rescue when I needed help for my mom at the last minute.Cathy has a way of putting people at ease and knew just what my mom needed.She is fantastic and we will definitely be calling on her again!!!

She and mom would swap stories, and they were always laughing when I came home.  Mom kept commenting on how lovely it was spending time with Cathy.  I received text messages with updates on mom a few times a day.  Cathy made meals, did laundry and some light housekeeping as well.  She really helped me keep things running smoothly and worry free while I looked into an adult care home for mom and finally found one she's moving to tomorrow.  I definitely recommend Cathy for your caregiving needs.  She's on time, takes pride in her work and relaxed tending to the details that need doing.  My mom wholeheartedly agrees too!

Cathy genuinely cares about her clients. She is knowledgeable of various medical conditions and phases of life. She easily engages with various types of people. Cathy likes to find activities to do with her clients and is able to meet clients needs. She is a wonderful cook too!
