I am a retired special education teacher who loves kids. I have been nannying for about 10 years. I have taken care of infant, toddlers, elementary -age and middle school age children. I have watched an infant from 3 months til she was 2. 5. We took walks in a stroller, later on we went to playgrounds, story hour at the library, the beach, Children's Museum , and trips to petting zoos. I have watched two kids after school -making their dinner, helping with homework, reading , and putting them to bed. I am kind, nice, nurturing, organized, trustworthy and reliable. Cathy cared for my son for about 2 months. She resigned from the job when my son was 5 months old. My son just didn’t seem to adjust to her and we ultimately determined it wasn’t a good fit. My son is breast fed and would have a difficult time when he would get hungry and tired. He would cry and she wasn’t able to comfort him. Cathy told me that she would dread the time of day he would get tired which made me uncomfortable with him in her care. I do not feel infants are a good fit for her.
