About Cathryn

I am a very young enthusiastic, creative grandmother. I not only brought up my own children, but I brought up my grandchildren. Also, I have been a crossing guard for 30 years for elementary school and I have worked in the afterschool program at Roosevelt in Melrose. There was always something to do and talk about and be silly. For the year that I worked in the after school for the third grade, I brought in silly hats and we brought in cooking and we had pretend campfires, and we sang campfire songs underneath the tables and we had racing cars and we had awards of who would have the fastest racing cars. We had reporters who would go around and interview people. They actually had real badges that I made. there was always some type of element of pretend that's I feel is missing with these children today. every month we would have a birthday cake for everybody who was born in that month. Ideas that I had when I was a child that I loved I brought with me.
