I realized I wanted to work with children in 2016 when I landed a position on the pediatric floor at a psychiatric hospital. That hospital had a unit specifically for Autism and before then, I never knew what autism was or what it meant. Oddly enough, staff would call me to the unit to assist with the kiddos in behaviors but I didn't think I was skilled enough. Fast forward to present day and I'm here with a graduate degree in behavior analysis. I've been an RBT for almost three years and I'm accruing hours for my Behavior Analyst title. I love children. Communication and social skills are my thing! '
