As a former college administrator, where I established a managed accessibility services centers, I focused on assisting students who had IEPs and 504 plans in high school. I earned an EdM. I focus on building students' confidence and mastery by using a strengths-based approach, actively listening and observing, I connect challenging topics to real-world examples, breaking down complex problems into manageable steps. Open communication with parents is essential to understand student needs, progress, and setting clear expectations. The most rewarding aspect is witnessing a student's "aha!" moment and seeing their confidence grow. I am available to tutor at various locations. My areas of expertise are in helping children become excited about reading, teaching children to learn to read, and in writing support including middle, high school, and college essay writing. I have a car, an excellent driving record and am comfortable with dogs.
